Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

QuantMax is the data controller responsible for your personal information. If you have any question about this policy or your data, contact us at privacy@quantmax.io.

2. Information you provide to us

When you create an account, apply for access, complete onboarding, or contact us, you give us information directly. This includes:

• Account details: your name, email address and password (passwords are stored only as a salted hash, never in plain text).
• Application data: your country of residence, trading experience, capital range, goals, risk tolerance, investment horizon and your reasons for applying.
• Contact details: an optional phone or WhatsApp number you share so we can help you activate your account.
• Onboarding data: your exchange (Bitunix) user ID, used to confirm your account is linked to us.
• Affiliate data: if you join our affiliate program, your display name, payout methods, and any tax or payment details you choose to provide.
• Communications: messages you send to support, press or partnerships.

3. Information from Bitunix copy trading

You never give us an API key and we never connect to your exchange account. When you copy our lead-trader account on Bitunix, we receive limited information through Bitunix's partner program, tied to the UID you give us:

• Whether your Bitunix account is actively copying our lead-trader account.
• The copy-trading volume and profit or loss attributed to your account, which we use to calculate any performance-based profit share.
• Your referral status, to confirm your account is registered through us.

We use this only to operate the profit-share model and confirm eligibility. You can stop copying at any time from Bitunix ('My Copy'). We never see your full account and can never move or withdraw your funds.

4. Information collected automatically

When you visit the site we collect limited technical data: IP address, approximate location derived from it, browser and device type, pages visited, and referral source. Some of this is collected through cookies and similar technologies. See our Cookie Policy for detail.

We also record affiliate attribution when you arrive through a partner link (for example /r/CODE or a ?ref= parameter), so the partner who referred you is credited.

5. How we use your information

• To create and manage your account and review your application.
• To run the copy-trading strategy you follow on Bitunix.
• To show you the live strategy and the results of your copy trading.
• To send service messages: application decisions, status alerts, risk-control pauses and account notices.
• To run our affiliate program, including attribution and payouts.
• To provide support and respond to your messages.
• To keep the service secure, prevent abuse and meet our legal obligations.
• To improve the product and understand how the site is used.

6. Legal bases for processing

Where data protection law such as the GDPR applies, we process your data on these bases: performance of our contract with you (running the service you signed up for), your consent (for example optional communications), our legitimate interests (security, fraud prevention, product improvement) and compliance with legal obligations.

7. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to run the service, with:

• Service providers who process data on our behalf, including our hosting and database provider, our email provider, and our exchange partner (Bitunix) for account linking and referral confirmation.
• Authorities or advisors where required by law, to protect our rights, or to comply with a legal request.
• A successor entity in the event of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, under confidentiality.
• Affiliates, in limited form, where someone they referred is attributed to them (for example application status and aggregate earnings, never your password).

8. Your funds and your copy connection

Your funds always stay in your own Bitunix account. We never take custody, never receive an API key, and can never withdraw. You connect only by copying our lead-trader account on Bitunix, and you can stop copying at any moment from your exchange.

9. Data retention

We keep your personal information for as long as your account is active and as long as needed to provide the service. After you close your account we retain certain records where required for legal, tax, accounting or dispute-resolution purposes, then delete or anonymise the rest.

10. Security

We protect your data with encryption in transit and at rest, hashed passwords, row-level access controls on our database, and least-privilege access for our team. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your information safe and will notify you and the relevant authorities of a breach where the law requires.

11. International transfers

We and our providers may process your data in countries other than where you live. Where we transfer data internationally we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses, to protect it.

12. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these, email privacy@quantmax.io. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

13. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your language, attribute affiliate referrals and understand site usage. For detail and your choices, see our Cookie Policy.

14. Children

QuantMax is for adults. The service is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a minor has given us data, contact us and we will delete it.

15. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Continuing to use QuantMax after an update means you accept the revised policy.
